npr music sxsw sampler.

as excited as i am about my dirty south road trip spring break plans (and just for the record, that is way way way excited), there is a tiny bit of me that's sad i'm not heading to austin for sxsw.

npr music, awesome as usual, has a sxsw music sampler - a set of 10 songs by artists performing at sxsw.


download them for free, love them, and then scramble to find other stuff by the same artists. how good is blind pilot (track 2), for realskis? i haven't been able to stop listening to them over the past few months.

also, it took me ages to place track 5 in the sampler, but i finally figured it out - thao (the artist) is the cousin of a friend of a friend of a friend from new york. i saw her live last year and she was super good and super nice. and, if i remember right, we all had a really charming williamsburg dinner & wine before the show. oh, the missing new york pangs are strong.
